Foolishness is Foolish

In the days of Noah, people act as according to their selfish desire and do what ever please them as if there is no God that is watching them. So God decided to destroy the whole creation through the flood. Who haven’t heard this terrible story of judgement to those who don’t believed and unconditional extending of mercy to those who believed. It was a 40 days and 40 nights of very heavy rain. The whole earth was covered by water and Only Noah and his family was saved and pair of female and male animals on the arc. Why Noah was chosen by God? It’s because Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. How can we find grace in the eyes of the Lord? by seeking Him and pleasing Him. Then If God won’t be pleased anymore to us, we should be careful and be prepared.

Genesis 6:4-8 “4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.”

So what about Lot? Remember the terrible thing happened to Sodom and Gomorrah? What are Sodom and Gomorrah by the way? It’s a city full of immorality, doing things according to their own desires, the desires of the flesh and not of the Spirit. These cities are believed to be a city were homosexuality were embraced as fashion or a way of living and it is an abomination to the Lord because He only created Male and Female. Genesis 1:27 “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.“ And take note in God’s image we are created not just because of a one celled organisms that evolved through billion of years then now became a human. We came from God not that we came from nothing. We are accountable to God. God put judgement unto Sodom and Gomorrah and burned the cities. Lot was Abraham’s brethren and when Abraham knew that God will put judgement unto Sodom and Gomorrah, Abraham intercede to God for the sake of Lot who was corrupted by living in a place of Corruption. So did Lot was saved but her wife that looked back died. Why is that? When God saved you from sin you should never look back unto those sins and says “It may better before than now.”

Genesis 19:24-29 “Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven;
And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the Lord:

And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.”

All that believed God was saved. You could read the whole Bible everyone that believed was saved but those who aren’t and foolish perish. What will it cost you if you believe? Nothing. But what will it cost you if you believed not? Everything!

Psalm 14:1 “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.”

I Corinthians 3:19 “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.”

1 Corinthians 1:18-31 “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

That no flesh should glory in his presence.

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
