Can We Really Know?

Sometimes looking back with my life, and now see people lived differently, or shall I say have a different situation with me, most of the times I felt disappointed and it seems unfair to me, not realizing that I’m so blessed by God of what I have right now despite of what I am, a sinner. And then I asked myself, What if’s. What if it weren’t like that?, what if it weren’t like those had happened? Will I be what I am right now?

As I could remember I have a not so good childhood days, parent’s weren’t going well with each other then decide to live and take different paths separately because they couldn’t understand each other and just always fighting. I then have a second father, adopted us, treated us as one of his own children. But then, with just a blink of an eye, he got sicked with cancer then passed away. While he was alive I couldn’t feel that we don’t have a father because he really made us feel that we are one family. I stopped studying, then got a job which leads me to another job I have right now for 5 years. Mother then was depressed and lonely but still God was so good even though back then we don’t know Him yet.

But then after that, our youngest was then involved in a “religious group” which was before as I call it. Then invited us,me, then I attended because I was curious. Then she enrolled in Bible college and leave her management course. And maybe because of all the prayers, I was convicted and converted, I got saved! I received Jesus and I understood God’s simple way of Salvation, How to be sure of Heaven when you die, is to just accept and believe Jesus Christ gift that He died on the cross in my stead for the payment of my sins. He paid it all already and all I have to do is to just received it. Then Mother got saved, my other sister got saved, Father was the last one, and even though he is not attending church with us due to some family circumstances, I do hope that he already received Jesus when it was shared to him the Gospel.

“Can we really know whether to label life’s circumstances good or bad? Is it bad because your dreams weren’t fulfilled, or good because God directed it in ways you could have not predicted? Sometimes it’s hard to see how God is working, His mysteries don’t always reveal their secrets to us, and our journey is often directed by uncontrollable detours. Perhaps God is showing us a better route.

To make sure we benefit from what might seem bad, we must recognize and trust God’s “unfailing love”. In the end, we”ll be able to say “I will sing unto the Lord, because He hath dealt bountifully with me.” Psalms 13:6″ ~ from ODB Vol 19

The circumstances in our lives
seem random and unplanned
But someday we will surely see
The order of God’s hand. ~ Sper

Another Year of Grace and God’s Sufficiency

Here in the Philippines it’s just about 1 day or 24 hrs left before the year 2013 will bid it’s goodbye’s and I will welcome 2014 as another chapter of my life. This year was rough, stormy as I could describe it if will only think about those hard times that came on my way. As I could remember 2013 started hard on me, too much persecution and pressure at my work due to difference, Health issues on love ones, family problems, Spiritual problems, and so on… But in all those hath happened a ray of Light was always shining faithfully to guide me all the way. It never leaves me even on my darkest and lowest times. It’s always there, that Light. And It’s Jesus never ending unconditional love. No matter how low I have become or no matter how depressed I am with those things I cannot comprehend, He is there and never leaves my side. Why did I knew? Because If He wasn’t there, I am not here right now writing. 😉

“And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.” John 1:16

I can say all those things did happened, I may not know completely the reasons, but I know He knows and never makes mistakes. Yeah, all the things happened that this limited mind consider bad, I could just count it with the fingers I have, but all the blessings God hath bestowed on me? No, I cannot even count it or remember all of those. There are so much blessings I can’t even count and remember. Everyday is a blessing. Every time I woke every single day, breath, see things, smell, feel, laugh, cry and live my life is already a great blessing. No matter what life may awaits for me this coming next year, I will trust it to God, the Father Almighty, My Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ my life and whatever path I may take that he will guide me and impose His will for me no matter what it is, no matter how it will hurt me at first. I know He will never give trials more than I am capable of.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. I corinthians 10:13

When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done. — Johnson Oatman, Jr.

Always look on the brighter side no matter how dark it is on the other side. No darkness could ever extinguish the Light of Jesus Christ on your life.

Still I’m Blessed (The Greatest Gift)

Everyone of us are excited because of the Holidays, specially the Christmas season. Kids were excited of the gifts they will received, workers are excited with bonuses and incentives they will get, shoppers were excited because price tags mostly drops off to almost 50%, and families were excited to be together with their loved ones which been away for the long time. Mostly everyone were excited even in different reasons and circumstance. But with all these things, they are people who also disliked and hated this season when almost everyone where celebrating and happy. Maybe those people who lost their loved ones, been hurt and left behind, and seeing everyone laughing and smiling, leave a feeling of loneliness.

I was once like the latter. But now, every time I looked back to those times, I realized why I felt alone, It’s because I didn’t know why there is Christmas, I just thought, there is Christmas because Jesus was simply born, just a little shallow knowledge. And I also believed Christmas are for those rich, and happy family out there. What a fool I am. I didn’t know JESUS was the greatest gift of all (John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”) that God hath given me 2000 years ago. He hath sent His Son to the world He created to save me (Matthew 1:21 “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.”) by dying on the cross (Ephesians 2:16 “And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:”).

Now, looking back, since 2014 is coming and 2013 is already bidding it’s goodbye. I could remember so many trials and seems bad happened, but still those bad times I could only count with my hands while the good things? I couldn’t even enumerate because it’s too many. (Romans 8:23 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”) This verse is really true but you will only realize it after the storms had passed, because during the storm it’s so hard to make yourself understand the full meaning of the verse.

From now on, Every time I feel lonely whenever I see happy family going to church together, eating together during Christmas night dinner celebration (Noche Buena in the Philippines), I will just remember the priceless gift God hath given me, The Lord Jesus Christ gift of Salvation for my soul. How about you my friend have you received this gift already? What are you waiting for? No amount of money could ever buy our assurance to Heaven when we leaved this world. You don’t know how? It’s so simple, Just ask JESUS now to enter into your heart and believe on Him this Christmas that long ago He was born into this world and died on the Cross in your place and was risen and now was living and sitting on the right hand of the Father. Your sins was already forgiven just accept Him, the Greatest Gift of the Father, Jesus.

Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Romans 1:16 “……for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;….”

Acts 16:30-31 “….Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

When Jesus is all you have this Christmas, You have you all you need.

For Awhile

I was here, while they are there
A part of me wanted to go,
Since it’s the day of my friend
A happy bonding will do

But the place they will go
I cannot go
Why? since that was not anymore
What I do

I remembered, even Him
for my sake, did not spare
His son to go
on the place as low

What it is to compare
to my little care
staying in my bed
for sake of my debt

I owe Him my life
Little pleasures of this world
cannot compare
to the Joy He gladly give

By laying His life
for a dying soul
who knew nothing but to sin
still He wanted to be with Him

Friends on earth may stay awhile
But a friend like Him
is all I need
Him on my side, there’s nothing more I ask..

Shashiburi ne!

Shashiburi ne! If I say it right, It’s the way of saying How have you been doing lately, or It’s quite quite a long time since… I know almost everyone heard what had happened recently in my country, the super typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda, the strongest and the most ferocious had stricken my fellow Filipinos. It left my country with almost 4000 dead bodies, lying almost everywhere in the cities of Leyte, Samar and the city of Tacloban, and in the Municipalities of Cebu are Daanbantayan, Bantayan Island, Bogo, Borbon, and Ilo-ilo, Aklan, Capiz and many more in Central Philippines, almost 2K missing, and thousands were injured. I could remember a week before Haiyan/Yolanda arrived I’ve been checking all the PAGASA (weather authority in Philippines) news and information about this monstrous wind that coming in a signal #4 or 315 kph. It was indeed very very strong. I’ve expected the very worst that could happened. As I saw in the satellite photo, with its size, it would absolutely erase my country. Two days before the predicted arrival of the typhoon, I message my mother to prepare for the typhoon, she bought ropes to tie the tent of her street food stall and candles and a gas lamp, some can goods and biscuits and water. As the day draws closer, I’m getting nervous, our home is not sturdy enough and I think even a signal #2 would tear it apart. My heart was crying deep inside even though I don’t show it. It was announce that it would hit first somewhere in eastern part of Leyte and Samar. Then helplessness overtake me, there is nothing I can do, or we could do, I think to stop this or fight a wind as this strong, the news said it is stronger than the bomb drop in Hiroshima and Nagasaki during WW2. Then I remembered (2 Chronicles 7:14), God is just a prayer away. He could calm the storm with just saying “Peace Be Still…” Then as I could remember I uttered my prayer like this, “Oh Lord, I know thou are already angry with thy people, with us, with our wickedness and inconsistency. I know Lord, you want us to draw closer to you, and this might be your way. I may not understand it, But I know Lord you never make mistakes, you’re too wise to be mistaken. But still Lord I wanted to pray for you to stop this calamity coming Lord as what you did for Nineveh in the times of Jonah, But thy will not hearken unto this prayer of thine servant Lord, Please Lord when the calamity comes, spare us Oh Lord, everyone that feareth and believest in thine Name oh Lord, Keep us safe Lord, everyone in my family, friends, relatives and the people I knew Lord. In thy wrath Lord, please remember mercy. Cover us with thine ever loving and tender hands Lord. In Jesus name. Amen ”

As expected It came. It landed for 6 times in Central Visayas, Palao Leyte, Guian Samar, Daanbantayan, Bantayan, and somewhere in southern Luzon. During the day of the typhoon, there is no news, electricity was cut off the whole day, It was back the day after. During the storm we just heard that Yolanda is going out of the country already, my heart was very glad hearing it in the radio and all my family . love ones, relatives, friends were safe. I didn’t know thousands of my fellow Filipino had already passed away dreadfully. T_T my heart was teared apart as I saw on the TV on the day after the typhoon hit, on the web, photos of dead family’s lying cold below the garbage and the debris left. Survivors were left hungry for almost 5days, No food, water, clothes, shelter, relief operations were unorganized, politics and governments quarrels among the officials, blaming who’s who are to blame. Survivors had looted foods on the malls and grocery stores, they were desperate, and there were crimes, since prisoners were out. There were rape victims, because at night it was very very dark, no electricity since posts were destroyed. Everyone was guarding the little food they got, scared that it would be taken by others.

But still God was able to remember mercy, Even though thousands have died, also hundreds of thousands were spared. He is faithful with His promises. Even though sometimes, in despair and grief we cannot see it. Even though He is a God of Judgment, He is also a God of Love and Mercy.

Lamentations 3:22 “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

I am so overwhelmed that so many countries had offered a helping hand to my fellow Filipinos, too many to mention though, but specially Germany who was the 1st to offer help, USA sending US Navy troops and Aircraft carriers and their ever strategic way of response to the calamity, Japan, Israel , Singapore, Malaysia, Sweden, UK, Canada and many more. And those celebrities local and International and everyone. All I could say is THANK YOU SO MUCH, and to all that had prayed, “THANK YOU! Thank you so much.” You’re kindness is beyond measure. Despite of our many differences, race, nationality, tradition and beliefs, we can’t deny “WE ARE ONE.” We are indeed created with the ONLY ONE EVER EXISTING GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Forgive me, this post might be too long, I still want to say more, I might not be the one who experienced it, But still looking, reading, hearing all about the tragedy really put an ache here in my heart. I wanted to feel their pain, even just watching and listening to their story of grief’s, sorrow and victory on surviving the catastrophe. This is all I could do, other than donating a very little amount which I can at my very best I could afford. Thank you for all the heroic acts of the media men, who’ve done their best to cover the dangerous even the best way they could even endangering their own lives, Just for the sake of delivering and honest report about the current situation, I salute you all with your selfless act, Thank You, specially the international media men who really stayed at the ground were the typhoon worstly destroyed, extending help as much as they could. THANK YOU to all of you and to Mr. Anderson Cooper. Still again, Thank you for your donations, and specially your prayers people still need to cope to tragic event that change their lives especially to children. May God give peace and calm their hearts with the Hope He holds for everyone. God Bless to each and everyone.
His word will stand, His word will stand. Though stars should fall and mountains turn to sand.
Though no man believes Him, Still God will be true.
His promise is sure, His love will endure, and forever His Word will stand…

YolandaHaiyan Super Typhoon 7
YolandaHaiyan Super Typhoon 2

Sitting here in desk, watching the TV news, on the radio, newspapers, It would make you delirious if you have family, relatives, love ones, living in those affected areas of Haiyan/Yolanda Super Typhoon who has 235kph speed, A signal #4 Typhoon. It is estimated, 10, 000 possible casualties and missing in eastern visayas and 58 confirmed dead in Northern Cebu, 1 in Bohol and more missing people. The Land was desolate, It’s not a month yet, after that 7.2 magnitude earthquake that Hit Bohol and Cebu, and now here it is another calamity.

My heart is aching seeing people on the Television, looting for food, fighting, killing for their survival, attacking grocery stores for food and essential things, crying helplessly, lost and don’t know what to do looking at the cold dead body of their love ones, whose bright smile they cannot see anymore. Some are almost out of their minds don’t know where to find their love ones who are missing, they even don’t know if they are alive. Haiyan/yolanda wrecked my country. ;( I was thankful, very very thankful to God for sparing me and my family here in central part of Cebu. But I know God reserved judgement for each and everyone of us.

Roads are still blocked by the debris the typhoon left, relief goods aren’t reaching yet the people who badly needed it. A lot of donations been already done by the government and private sectors, I just hope that all that were donated will really be spend for it’s purpose not on selfish desires and motives of the people who are on the authority of holding it. All I want are your precious prayers for my beloved country and fellow Filipinos and believers. For me Prayers are more precious than anything. Praying is an act of directing all the problem in God’s hands.

Prophet Habakkuk prayed to God to revive His work in the midst of the years. (Habakkuk 3:2) God’s people need revival. King Solomon was told by God the requirement before God will heal our land. (2 Chronicles 7:14) Humble ourselves, pray and seek His face, turn from our wicked ways then God will hear us. But the problem is that the people, yeah I know they prayed and seeking God, but the question is “to whom” there prayers where directed?

Haggai 2:17 “I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the Lord”

Amos 4:10
“I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord.”

Amos 4:8 “So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord.

God send this calamities for us to turn unto Him, yet so many people doesn’t knew Him. What I am doing? What A christian like me, professing that Jesus Christ my one and only Saviour have been doing? Aren’t Am I at ease? Am I doing my work (John 9:4)? Am I proclaiming Him in the every and best way I could? Oh, Lord I am ashamed before thy face.

It’s for the Believers/Christians duty to let all people knew Him… I hope and pray that all these things that happened would wake as up from these long sleep of denial and being content living at ease. Maybe we are already forgetting the price paid for our Salvation and God is reminding us through these things. Instead of blaming and hating God, Let’s come unto Him and ask Him to “Revive His work in the midst of the years” as what prophet Habakkuk
prayed when Israel was set for God’s Judgement. aren’t we seeing ourselves now on what had happened a thousands of years ago on the Old Testament?

What if your blessings come through raindrops
What if your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights,
Is what its takes to know your near,
What if trials of this life is your mercies in disguise…. – (Blessings-Laura Story)

All we need is God’s presence, when storms like these arises!

Whether you’re a Filipino or not, as members of the human race, we’re all in this together. I am fortunate that I live in Manila and the eye of the storm wasn’t in our area but whenever I see and hear about the devastation Typhoon Yolanda has caused (like this personal account here and report here), it’s hard to just look the other way. I hope, wherever you are in the world, you spare a little bit of your time and effort to help a brother/sister out. Here’s an updated list of relief centers gathered by Be someone’s beacon of hope. Be that ray of sunshine in someone’s life. You can make a difference.

A Shelter in the Time of Storm

Storms literally or figuratively, this word always brought disaster or even despair. Each and everyone of us faces storm everyday in our lives. It maybe financial, bills are just coming storming our mail boxes, work pressures, project deadlines that seems so impossible to accomplish, Family problems and issues that seems so impossible to solved right now, relationships that’s been bombarded by differences, Health Issues and Sickness that even the best doctors of this world couldn’t heal or a life been lived struggling by these world cyclone of problems, poverty, political wars, and social differences. In either ways, it’s been so hard to face a storm with these human capacity I have, I felt so weak and incapable of overcoming such terrible things.

Right now, Philippines, specially the central part were busy preparing for the super typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda that had just arrive on the Philippine Area of Responsibility today and would hit eastern part of Visayas tomorrow morning. I know God has it’s own purpose, if ever He will really allow such great calamity to hit the country. I know He has His plans of protection already laid for His dear children. I just prayed that everything that will happen will serve it’s purpose, to let draw people to God and let them know that there is God, to strengthen the faith of faithful believers and to aflame again the hearts of frozen believers.

Habakkuk 3:2 “O Lord, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.”

Whatever storms we may face, either literal or figurative we can safely hide under God’s supreme embrace and protection. The Solid Rock of our Salvation, the Lord Jesus Christ. Let’s come unto Him and ask Him to cover us in every storm we may face as we continue to move forward in this journey called life.

The Lord’s our Rock, in Him we hide,
A Shelter in the time of storm;
Secure whatever ill betide,
A Shelter in the time of storm.

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,
A weary land, a weary land;
Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,
A Shelter in the time of storm.

A shade by day, defense by night,
A Shelter in the time of storm;
No fears alarm, no foes afright,
A Shelter in the time of storm.

The raging storms may round us beat,
A Shelter in the time of storm
We’ll never leave our safe retreat,
A Shelter in the time of storm.

O Rock divine, O Refuge dear,
A Shelter in the time of storm;
Be Thou our Helper ever near,
A Shelter in the time of storm.
In every storm we may face, May we never forget in Jesus name only, We can safely rest.

We are the Reason

We are the Reason

Yeah! I guess everyone of us right now are excited for the most awaited celebration of the year, It’s Christmas! 😉 It’s the time of the year when family gathers and celebrate together, A day of joyful moments and gladness. Everybody seems to be happy and excited of the gifts that they may receive. On the other hand, for some this moment be the saddest, for those who live far from their loveones and can’t go home due to some reason, for those who lost their loveones, for those who live alone.

Way back from my college these, for me Christmas or any other holidays are the loneliest days of my life, why? because it’s the time when my friends cannot go with me because they celebrate with their families while me was left alone. When I was a child my parents broke up, during my college days my beloved step dad passed away, so it was a lonely moments in my life.

But right now, looking back I feel blessed. Now I will never ever be lonely again, Since Jesus came into my heart. Are you weary and sad? Just call upon Him, just utter his name deep down. I can;t explain it vividly and thoroughly though, but believe me, It’s going to be different. Your sadness will vanish without even you noticing it. We are even the reason why He came into the world and Christmas was made. It’s because of Jesus loves for us.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Here’s a song for you… 😉

What does it take to know God?

What does it take to know God?

What does it take to begin a relationship with God? Wait for lightning to strike? Devote yourself to unselfish religious deeds? Become a better person so that God will accept you? NONE of these. God has made it very clear in the Bible how we can know Him. This will explain how you can personally begin a relationship with God, right now…

Principle One: God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life.

God created you. Not only that, he loves you so much that he wants you to know him now and spend eternity with him. Jesus said, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”1

Jesus came so that each of us could know and understand God in a personal way. Jesus alone can bring meaning and purpose to life.

What keeps us from knowing God? ..
Principle Two: All of us sin and our sin has separated us from God.

We sense that separation, that distance from God because of our sin. The Bible tells us that “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” Romans 3:10-12

Deep down, our attitude may be one of active rebellion or passive indifference toward God and his ways, but it’s all evidence of what the Bible calls sin.

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” Hebrews 9:27

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:8.

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:15

The result of sin in our lives is death — spiritual separation from God (cast into Hell for eternal punishment). Although we may try to get close to God through our own effort, we inevitably fail.

This diagram shows the great gap that exists between us and God. The arrows illustrate how we might try to reach God through our own efforts. We may try to do good things in life, or earn God’s acceptance through a good life or a moral philosophy. But our good efforts are insufficient to cover up our sin.

How can we bridge this gulf?…

Principle Three: Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for our sin. Through him we can know and experience God’s love and plan for our life.

We deserve to pay for our own sin. The problem is, the payment is death. So that we would not have to die separated from God, out of his love for us, Jesus Christ died in our place.

The Bible states that Jesus is “the image of the invisible God…by him all things were created….” Jesus was crucified for blasphemy — for clearly identifying himself as equal to God — which he was.

On the cross, Jesus took all of our sin on himself and completely, fully paid for it. “For Christ also died for sins…the just for the unjust, so that he might bring us to God…he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.” Because of Jesus’ death on the cross, our sin doesn’t have to separate us from God any longer.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Jesus not only died for our sin, he rose from the dead. When he did, he proved beyond doubt that he can rightfully promise eternal life — that he is the Son of God and the only means by which we can know God. That is why Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life; no one can come to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12.

Instead of trying harder to reach God, he tells us how we can begin a relationship with him right now. Jesus says, “Come to me.” “If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38 It was Jesus’ love for us that caused him to endure the cross. And he now invites us to come to him, that we might begin a personal relationship with God.

Just knowing what Jesus has done for us and what he is offering us is not enough. To have a relationship with God, we need to welcome him into our life…
Principle Four: We must individually accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

The Bible says, “Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”

We accept Jesus by faith. The Bible says, For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Accepting Jesus means believing that Jesus is the Son of God, then inviting him to guide and direct our lives. Jesus said, “I came that you might have life, and have it more abundantly.”

And here is Jesus’ invitation. He said, “I’m standing at the door and I’m knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in.”

How will you respond to God’s invitation?

Consider these two circles:

Which circle best represents your life?
Which circle would you like to have represent your life?

Begin a relationship with Jesus…

You can receive Christ right now. Remember that Jesus says, “I’m standing at the door and I’m knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in.” Would you like to respond to his invitation? Here’s how.

The precise words you use to commit yourself to God are not important. He knows the intentions of your heart. If you are unsure of what to pray, this might help you put it into words:

“Jesus, I want to know you. I want you to come into my life. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sin so that I could be fully accepted by you. Only you can give me the power to change and become the person you created me to be. Thank you for forgiving me and giving me eternal life with God. I give my life to you. Please do with it as you wish. Amen.”

If you sincerely asked Jesus into your life just now, then He has come into your life as He promised. You have begun a personal relationship with God and you are now sure that when your life here on earth will end, it’s just a beginning to be with Jesus in Heaven eternally.

You are now being sealed by the Holy Spirit, it’s serves as a mark that your are now one of God’s family through adoption by Faith through the Lord Jesus Christ.

“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,” Ephesians 1:13

“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” Ephesian 4:30

What follows is a lifelong journey of change and growth as you get to know God better through Bible reading, prayer and interaction with other Christians. Rejoice and Be Glad! Spread the Gospel of Peace! 😉

Still You are My God

Yesterday was quite a horrifying day in my country and in my city, I lived in Cebu, Philippines, even though the center of the earthquake that hits Philippines is in Bohol, still Cebu also suffered. The earthquake was reported having the magnitude of 7.2, it’s been the strongest earthquake ever been Philippines experienced. There had been at least 15 or 20 dead people. But still I am thankful enough that people I knew were protected by God loving hands including me. Once God will send affliction to us with the use of nature human will be so powerless but still we are so hard and stiff necked to looked at Him. He sends affliction not to throw us away but bring us closer to Him and to know HE IS THE LORD OUR GOD, the ONLY ONE TRUE GOD.

Ezekiel 6:13-14 “Then shall ye know that I am the Lord, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols. So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the Lord.”

Some of the oldest Catholic Churches in Bohol.

The most prestigious Catholic Church in Cebu City, Basilica Del Sto. Niño.

“And when he had broken down the altars and the groves, and had beaten the graven images into powder, and cut down all the idols throughout all the land of Israel, he returned to Jerusalem.” 2 Chronicles 34:7

But I say to you, these are not yet the fulfillment of God’s judgement and wrath to the abominations we people have done. These earthquakes around the world cannot be compared to “Great Earthquake” the bible is saying, it is so great that it cannot be measured and all the earth will be shaken and be destroyed. This is not to scare you but the it is what the bible is saying, and I believe God cannot lie. (Titus 1:2) So what we must do?

“Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the Lord your God.” Leviticus 19:4

“Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.” Ezekiel 14:6

These are some damage the earthquake done to my city of Cebu. Will you help me pray for the people here both to the Christians and non-believers unsaved people. Safety and protection to faithful Christians, to the backsliding they will be restored and renew their commitment to the Lord, for the unbelievers and unsaved that God will open their eyes and break their fallow hearts to receive the Salvation of Jesus Christ. Thank you..
