I Just love it ;)

I Just love it ;)

It was so long ago, maybe just last year though, after this travel to Bohol this skirt was gone. 😦

Who am I?

Who am I? As I had remembered, from middle school the teacher made us write a 3 paragraphed answer to this question. I can’t even remember what I had written in their, haha! Yeah, even if you asked me now it will be hard
for me to really answer it. How about you?, We’ll at least for now I know who am I really I. I am sinner saved by Grace by what had Jesus done on the Cross, shedding His blood for me and died in my place for the payment of my sins. “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission [of sins].” Hebrews 9:22. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9. By just simply believing and trusting Him, now the salvation is mine. It’s easy right?, yeah, very very easy, that’s why many People can’t accept it, they want to work for it, they want to sweat for it, but if you’d work for it, even though it’s already done, aren’t you insulting the one who already done it? and saying it’s insufficient and making Him a liar?Apostle Paul had warned us about this simplicity of the Gospel of Christ: ” But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” 2 Corinthians 11:3

So for now, at least I know what’s my purpose and who am I in the sight of God, a sinner, yet He counted worthy to die for. “For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.” Romans 5:7. Isn’t it great? Yeah very very great! 😉 How about you?

Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart.

Not because of who I am
But because of what You’ve done
Not because of what I’ve done
But because of who You’re

I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I’m calling
Lord, You catch me when I’m falling
And You’ve told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours

Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again.
Who am I, that the Voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me
not because of who I am
but because of what You done
not because of what I done
but because of who You are

WHO AM I by Casting Crowns

What does it take to know God?

What does it take to know God?

What does it take to begin a relationship with God? Wait for lightning to strike? Devote yourself to unselfish religious deeds? Become a better person so that God will accept you? NONE of these. God has made it very clear in the Bible how we can know Him. This will explain how you can personally begin a relationship with God, right now…

Principle One: God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life.

God created you. Not only that, he loves you so much that he wants you to know him now and spend eternity with him. Jesus said, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”1

Jesus came so that each of us could know and understand God in a personal way. Jesus alone can bring meaning and purpose to life.

What keeps us from knowing God? ..
Principle Two: All of us sin and our sin has separated us from God.

We sense that separation, that distance from God because of our sin. The Bible tells us that “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” Romans 3:10-12

Deep down, our attitude may be one of active rebellion or passive indifference toward God and his ways, but it’s all evidence of what the Bible calls sin.

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” Hebrews 9:27

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:8.

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:15

The result of sin in our lives is death — spiritual separation from God (cast into Hell for eternal punishment). Although we may try to get close to God through our own effort, we inevitably fail.

This diagram shows the great gap that exists between us and God. The arrows illustrate how we might try to reach God through our own efforts. We may try to do good things in life, or earn God’s acceptance through a good life or a moral philosophy. But our good efforts are insufficient to cover up our sin.

How can we bridge this gulf?…

Principle Three: Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for our sin. Through him we can know and experience God’s love and plan for our life.

We deserve to pay for our own sin. The problem is, the payment is death. So that we would not have to die separated from God, out of his love for us, Jesus Christ died in our place.

The Bible states that Jesus is “the image of the invisible God…by him all things were created….” Jesus was crucified for blasphemy — for clearly identifying himself as equal to God — which he was.

On the cross, Jesus took all of our sin on himself and completely, fully paid for it. “For Christ also died for sins…the just for the unjust, so that he might bring us to God…he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.” Because of Jesus’ death on the cross, our sin doesn’t have to separate us from God any longer.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Jesus not only died for our sin, he rose from the dead. When he did, he proved beyond doubt that he can rightfully promise eternal life — that he is the Son of God and the only means by which we can know God. That is why Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life; no one can come to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12.

Instead of trying harder to reach God, he tells us how we can begin a relationship with him right now. Jesus says, “Come to me.” “If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38 It was Jesus’ love for us that caused him to endure the cross. And he now invites us to come to him, that we might begin a personal relationship with God.

Just knowing what Jesus has done for us and what he is offering us is not enough. To have a relationship with God, we need to welcome him into our life…
Principle Four: We must individually accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

The Bible says, “Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”

We accept Jesus by faith. The Bible says, For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Accepting Jesus means believing that Jesus is the Son of God, then inviting him to guide and direct our lives. Jesus said, “I came that you might have life, and have it more abundantly.”

And here is Jesus’ invitation. He said, “I’m standing at the door and I’m knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in.”

How will you respond to God’s invitation?

Consider these two circles:

Which circle best represents your life?
Which circle would you like to have represent your life?

Begin a relationship with Jesus…

You can receive Christ right now. Remember that Jesus says, “I’m standing at the door and I’m knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in.” Would you like to respond to his invitation? Here’s how.

The precise words you use to commit yourself to God are not important. He knows the intentions of your heart. If you are unsure of what to pray, this might help you put it into words:

“Jesus, I want to know you. I want you to come into my life. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sin so that I could be fully accepted by you. Only you can give me the power to change and become the person you created me to be. Thank you for forgiving me and giving me eternal life with God. I give my life to you. Please do with it as you wish. Amen.”

If you sincerely asked Jesus into your life just now, then He has come into your life as He promised. You have begun a personal relationship with God and you are now sure that when your life here on earth will end, it’s just a beginning to be with Jesus in Heaven eternally.

You are now being sealed by the Holy Spirit, it’s serves as a mark that your are now one of God’s family through adoption by Faith through the Lord Jesus Christ.

“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,” Ephesians 1:13

“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” Ephesian 4:30

What follows is a lifelong journey of change and growth as you get to know God better through Bible reading, prayer and interaction with other Christians. Rejoice and Be Glad! Spread the Gospel of Peace! 😉

Faith is the Victory! ;)

Encamped along the hills of light,
Ye Christian soldiers, rise,
And press the battle ere the night
Shall veil the glowing skies.
Against the foe in vales below
Let all our strength be hurled;
Faith is the victory, we know,
That overcomes the world.

Faith is the victory!
Faith is the victory!
Oh, glorious victory,
That overcomes the world.

His banner over us is love,
Our sword the Word of God;
We tread the road the saints above
With shouts of triumph trod.
By faith, they like a whirlwind’s breath,
Swept on o’er every field;
The faith by which they conquered death
Is still our shining shield.

On every hand the foe we find
Drawn up in dread array;
Let tents of ease be left behind,
And onward to the fray.
Salvation’s helmet on each head,
With truth all girt about,
The earth shall tremble ’neath our tread,
And echo with our shout.

To him that overcomes the foe,
White raiment shall be giv’n;
Before the angels he shall know
His name confessed in heav’n.
Then onward from the hills of light,
Our hearts with love aflame,
We’ll vanquish all the hosts of night,
In Jesus’ conqu’ring name.

Still You are My God

Yesterday was quite a horrifying day in my country and in my city, I lived in Cebu, Philippines, even though the center of the earthquake that hits Philippines is in Bohol, still Cebu also suffered. The earthquake was reported having the magnitude of 7.2, it’s been the strongest earthquake ever been Philippines experienced. There had been at least 15 or 20 dead people. But still I am thankful enough that people I knew were protected by God loving hands including me. Once God will send affliction to us with the use of nature human will be so powerless but still we are so hard and stiff necked to looked at Him. He sends affliction not to throw us away but bring us closer to Him and to know HE IS THE LORD OUR GOD, the ONLY ONE TRUE GOD.

Ezekiel 6:13-14 “Then shall ye know that I am the Lord, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols. So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the Lord.”

Some of the oldest Catholic Churches in Bohol.

The most prestigious Catholic Church in Cebu City, Basilica Del Sto. Niño.

“And when he had broken down the altars and the groves, and had beaten the graven images into powder, and cut down all the idols throughout all the land of Israel, he returned to Jerusalem.” 2 Chronicles 34:7

But I say to you, these are not yet the fulfillment of God’s judgement and wrath to the abominations we people have done. These earthquakes around the world cannot be compared to “Great Earthquake” the bible is saying, it is so great that it cannot be measured and all the earth will be shaken and be destroyed. This is not to scare you but the it is what the bible is saying, and I believe God cannot lie. (Titus 1:2) So what we must do?

“Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the Lord your God.” Leviticus 19:4

“Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.” Ezekiel 14:6

These are some damage the earthquake done to my city of Cebu. Will you help me pray for the people here both to the Christians and non-believers unsaved people. Safety and protection to faithful Christians, to the backsliding they will be restored and renew their commitment to the Lord, for the unbelievers and unsaved that God will open their eyes and break their fallow hearts to receive the Salvation of Jesus Christ. Thank you..
