Still You are My God

Yesterday was quite a horrifying day in my country and in my city, I lived in Cebu, Philippines, even though the center of the earthquake that hits Philippines is in Bohol, still Cebu also suffered. The earthquake was reported having the magnitude of 7.2, it’s been the strongest earthquake ever been Philippines experienced. There had been at least 15 or 20 dead people. But still I am thankful enough that people I knew were protected by God loving hands including me. Once God will send affliction to us with the use of nature human will be so powerless but still we are so hard and stiff necked to looked at Him. He sends affliction not to throw us away but bring us closer to Him and to know HE IS THE LORD OUR GOD, the ONLY ONE TRUE GOD.

Ezekiel 6:13-14 “Then shall ye know that I am the Lord, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols. So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the Lord.”

“And when he had broken down the altars and the groves, and had beaten the graven images into powder, and cut down all the idols throughout all the land of Israel, he returned to Jerusalem.” 2 Chronicles 34:7

But I say to you, these are not yet the fulfillment of God’s judgement and wrath to the abominations we people have done. These earthquakes around the world cannot be compared to “Great Earthquake” the bible is saying, it is so great that it cannot be measured and all the earth will be shaken and be destroyed. This is not to scare you but the it is what the bible is saying, and I believe God cannot lie. (Titus 1:2) So what we must do?

“Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the Lord your God.” Leviticus 19:4

“Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.” Ezekiel 14:6

These are some damage the earthquake done to my city of Cebu. Will you help me pray for the people here both to the Christians and non-believers unsaved people. Safety and protection to faithful Christians, to the backsliding they will be restored and renew their commitment to the Lord, for the unbelievers and unsaved that God will open their eyes and break their fallow hearts to receive the Salvation of Jesus Christ.
